If you’ve been out on the Henry Hudson Trail lately, you may have noticed a little more activity than usual, crews are out giving the trail a much-needed fall refresh. From clearing branches to smoothing out sections of the path, this is the time of year when the county tightens everything up before winter hits.
But here’s the best part…
The trail is absolutely beautiful right now.
Cooler air, peak fall color, and those postcard-worthy water views between Highlands and Atlantic Highlands make this one of the most rewarding spots to walk, run, or bike along the Monmouth County coast. Even with the maintenance happening, it’s still the perfect place to get outside and enjoy the season.
And if you’ve lived here long enough, you already know: everyone has their stretch of the trail.
Some love the quiet wooded section where it feels like the rest of the world disappears. Others love the open coastal views that hit differently in the fall. And there’s always that one scenic overlook where people can’t resist snapping a photo.
So I’m curious…
👉 What’s your favorite part of the Henry Hudson Trail?
The shaded woods?
The coastal boardwalk-style section?
The bends near Atlantic Highlands?
The views along the water?
Send me an email, I always enjoy hearing which parts of the trail people love most.
