Monmouth County “Creatures of the Night” Hayrides Return to Huber Woods Park This October

Looking for a fun fall activity with the kids? The Monmouth County Park System is bringing back its popular “Creatures of the Night” hayrides at Huber Woods Park in Middletown, NJ this October.

Don’t be fooled by the name—these rides are non-scary and family-friendly, designed especially for toddlers and young children. Visitors ride through the park and enjoy lighthearted, educational skits along the way. This year’s theme is “Creature Features.” After the hayride, families can enjoy a seasonal snack.

  • Dates: Fridays & Saturdays, October 10–25, 2025
  • Time: Rides depart between 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (times vary per evening)
  • Cost: $15.50 per person (children under 2 ride free on an adult’s lap)
