Highlands Mayor Carolyn Broullon has officially launched her campaign for reelection, reminding residents, “We are all in this together.” Now seeking a third term, she’s hosting several Meet & Greets this fall to connect with locals outside of formal council meetings.
Upcoming events include:
- Sept. 28 – VFW Post Home (3–6 p.m.)
- Oct. 8 – Chilango’s Restaurant (6–8 p.m.)
- Oct. 23 – Franny’s Pizzeria, 279 Bay Avenue (6–8 p.m.)
“The idea is to let people feel comfortable asking me whatever they want,” Broullon said. “Although I always want people to learn more about me, my plans, and love for Highlands, this gives them another opportunity that I welcome.”
During her tenure, Broullon has overseen projects such as dredging Jones Creek, sidewalk and safety upgrades on Shore Drive, drainage improvements across town, an EV charging station on Bay Avenue, and upgrades to the Waterwitch pump station.
